how long has it been?

[Oikawa is rounding the corner to the hallway for the activity room though with his notebook stuffed with volleyball sheets - mostly write ups for hand outs and some basic things for new people to practice and memorize, like hand signals. Not everyone is a ridiculous pinpoint setter, but he isn't about to expect everyone to know what to do if he does end up setting, so.]

lost count. prob when i was around 2 days old i'd guess

[Whenever he makes it to the room he'll find a table set out with the blanket from their spot in the storage room on the table. The textbook he received in his locker is off to the side, propped up on a chair with Iwaizumi half paying attention to that, looking at his phone the rest of the time when it beeps again.]

[Giving the door a knock - just a brief one, Oikawa is opening it and stepping inside before giving that table a curious look, before shutting the door behind him and glancing briefly. Why does this look like something he should lock the door for? Ah, oh well, Iwa-chan will get it if it needs to be locked. Moving to unload his arms into a different chair, he waves lightly.]

I'm here~ also wow, two days? Iwa-chan's life was so hard even before I came into it!

[Only Oikawa's mind would go to needing to lock the door, Iwaizumi isn't considering this as weird at all.]

More like it was utter bliss. [He glances up from his book, leaving his phone next to it on the chair.] I'm trying to memorise different body parts but it's not sinking in without having anything solid to work with. [He indicates to the book, then the table.] If it'll take too long I can ask someone else though.

[But it's probably less awkward with Oikawa (at least for him...)]

How could it have been bliss without me? You clung to me in your sleep just as much as I clung to you, when we were toddlers.

[At least the table makes more sense now though with that explanation, and Oikawa shakes his head, waving mildly as he moves to it and removes his shoes, before sitting up on the edge.] No no, it's fine. I'm not really busy, I have a lot of free time for hardly going to classes.

"We were toddlers" is the key in that sentence, dumbass. Lay down. [His hand reaches out as soon as Oikawa's shoes are off and he's on the table, indicating for him to lay on his back on the table. Now he's agreed, he's not going to have much free time to leave, so.]

You'll need to stay still, so if you want to nap, now's the chance.

[He'll chide him for constantly skipping later.]

[Laughing lightly and easily picking up his legs to flop over, then shift until he was laying on his back, Oikawa lifts both arms to prop his head up and give him a playful smile.]

If I doze, I'll doze. Now just because we were toddlers doesn't mean anything, jeeez. You make it sound like you regret being my best friend, that's so mean.

Hands down, how am I supposed to remember parts in the arms if you're covering half of them? Here.

[He pulls off his jacket, scrunches it up to put under his head. That way Oikawa's head is supported without his arms out of the way.] Just stay still and stop complaining.

[pinpointing]

I'd move when you got there!

[Oikawa gladly takes the bunched jacket though, bringing his arms down to set his hands on his stomach and just wait then with this amused chuckle. He really was being serious about learning all this.]

[He glares down at him for that, but makes no move to shut him up. Instead, he says:] If you're going to laugh all the way through I'll go ask someone else after all.

I'll start up here first though.

[With the book propped up in view and his hand on Oikawa's head he starts reciting the parts, trying to remember without looking. There's a soft murmur of "Cranium, frontalis, orbit, nasal, pinna..." as he works his way over Oikawa's face. He indicates for him to keep his eyes and mouth shut, but maybe it won't help.]

[He's still chuckling under his breath, but he does as he is asked and shuts his eyes in the end, saying nothing else. It's kind of relaxing in the end, laying there with his eyes closed and Iwaizumi's hand hovering over his face while he traces or points out various spots and mumbles the name. Oikawa isn't going to fall asleep, but he ends up concentrating on where Iwaizumi's hand is and trying to memorize with him the names.]

[It's much easier to concentrate once Oikawa actually quietens and stays still. There's no time to be proud of pleased though, considering his hand is brushing over his cheek bones ("Zygomatic arch") next, followed by the actual cheeks ("Malar region"). His hand lowers further, tapping the side of his mouth ("Oral cavity" hm...) and his thumb grazes over his lower lip, labelling that too.

His index finger of his left hand traces his lower jaw, murmuring "Mandible" to himself followed by the upper jaw: "Maxilla". To say he's only spent the best part of the week studying these he's doing pretty well so far.]

[It almost feels like he's memorizing his face with all this attention, even though Oikawa knows it's facial structure that Iwaizumi is trying to memorize, not his face as in him being ... he almost opens his eyes, lashes fluttering briefly with the thumb grazing his mouth. It's a touch he hadn't been expecting, even if he knew he was going to be literally touched all over the face for this. Swallowing, knitting his eyebrows together to keep his eyes shut even when the trace along his lower jaw makes it slacken a bit, the touch is almost forcing him to relax more than he really thought he could.

Exhaling this quiet breath and breathing in deep through his nose, like he could pass any of the idle thoughts off as just daydreaming, Oikawa exhaled again a little too quickly.]

[There's a crumple of paper as he checks the book for the next part, frustrated that this is the part he's got down the most so far. He's not really seeing Oikawa's expression so much as the bones and skin that make up his expression, too focused to actually consider if he's uncomfortable or not.

Next, his hand curls over his chin, mouth murmuring that name next ("mentis") then down to curve his palm over his voice box ("Larnyx"), Adam's apple ("Thyroid Cartilage") and to the Manubrial Notch where it meets the oesophagus. His hand lingers there as he checks the paper, trying to get the placement correct.]

[He'd argue that he isn't uncomfortable, but being too comfortable is kind of strange. All he's doing is touching his face. Oikawa usually hates it when people touch his face, he'd have to go wash it from finger grease and even when Iwaizumi's hand dips past his chin and traces over his throat, all he ends up doing is swallowing again a little harder and thinking he should have brought a water bottle. When did he end up feeling so thirsty?]

Tch. [It comes out softly as he shifts his hand then repeats Manubrial Notch, finally dropping his hand to rest it over Oikawa's collar bone. His eyes close, brow furrows as he tries to remember without peeking, finally saying "Clavicals" to finish that part. His hand squeezes Oikawa's shoulder next, kind of like a praise for being so quiet and hanging in there. So far he's doing well, after all.] Deltoid and... [His hand trails down, holding his upper arm, murmuring "bicep" and "humerus" under his breath.

His hand curves to rest on the elbow, teeth biting his lip as he tries to remember, and that's another he has to check. This time he murmurs "Olecranon" to himself five times, trying to get it to sink in.]

[There comes almost a sigh of relief when Iwaizumi's hand goes past his face and throat finally - maybe he just has sensitive skin there, maybe that's why it left such a tingle and he almost wanted to scratch his nose. Cracking his eyes open briefly at that squeeze on his shoulder, lip curving up in a bit of a smile - he still stays quiet. His hand was fairly warm where he left it though, and after shifting his eyes to just watch Iwaizumi's hand, Oikawa tries to blot out all the idle thoughts running through his head.

Shut up brain, he just wants to feel this.]

[He barely notices that Oikawa opens his eyes, naming the ulnar nerve then the radius, he twists Oikawa's hand around, revealing the underneath of his arm and labelling that ulna. His thumb swipes over his wrist, muttering "metacarpals" as he passes the skin. He taps his hand next, letting out a breath as he murmurs "carpals" and when his fingers graze Oikawa's there's a hint of something sadder there. "Phalanges" is the label that goes with that, then his hand is pulling away.]

Bend your knee up. [It's the first time he turns to Oikawa as if he is a person, but it's going to be easier to feel the different joints with access to the underneath too.]
