[Usually, Oikawa's knee would look red and a little swollen and have a few odd miscolorings in the skin - now it looks like a normal, healthy knee. Nothing out of joint, no bruises from wrapping the brace too tight, no red fingerprint marks of digging his thumbs to press the knee cap back into place. Drifting his hand a little after Iwaizumi's, briefly scratching his knee because it felt so strange to have Iwaizumi's hand on it this time, Oikawa shuts his eyes despite the want to watch when his hand rises up higher.

His skin is starting to feel tingly again, maybe he really is falling asleep and this is what it feels like to fight it when he knows he's safe and secure and a nap wouldn't hurt. Something bothers him about all this, even though he knows it's just touch, that's all it is. In the end with a shift to roll his head and set it the other way, he opens his eyes to look down and watch again, ignoring the sensations that make goosebumps start crawling after Iwaizumi's hand.]

[He's glad that he doesn't have to worry about it now, glad that they're able to move on from all the pain he's had to go through with it. There's still a worry it'll all happen again though, knowing how reckless Oikawa can be.

With his arms and legs finished though he moves back up, flicking the page of his book to concentrate on the main organs. He's too busy staring at the book to notice Oikawa watching, and this time he uses two hands to press where he works out his lungs to be.]

Breathe in and out. Deeply.

[pinpointing]

[When Iwaizumi moves to press both hands to his chest and play doctor by asking that, Oikawa doesn't have it in him for a moment to tease him. Just turning his eyes up to watch his face, to watch him looking off at the book, he breathes in as deep as he can through his nose before exhaling slowly through his mouth.]

[catenate]

[He waits for it, staring down at his chest rather than Oikawa's face to try and link the image on the paper with the body in front of him. He doesn't even glance up, gaze focused as he flattens his palm, grinning when he works out where the lungs are.]

Lungs: Pulmonary system.

[pinpointing]

[In the end, Oikawa comes to a startling conclusion that leaves him just quietly staring up at that grin and focussed gaze and realizes he is really enjoying Iwaizumi's hands on him. This is dumb. He can't have actually gone and fallen for him, right? This is just touching, but the sense of trust he has in him to do nothing but touch him and learn his medical terms leaves him letting out this small laugh and lifting a hand to cover his face.

Ah, he interrupted the silence that was otherwise Iwaizumi mumbling under his breath, whoops.]

[catenate]

[It's true, the laugh breaks whatever direction he was about to take, his concentration momentarily snapped as he looks up at Oikawa.] Does it tickle there or something? I can do it lighter.

[He has no idea that any of this has been weird, of course, thinking only of the procedures and places within the body rather than the feeling touching might cause.]

[pinpointing]

No, no. I'm fine.

[Waving his other hand, shifting and squirming as if to just get comfortable again, Oikawa wouldn't bring his hand off his face just yet to cover the mild mortification he was feeling. It wasn't just embarrassing to hit this realization, he couldn't say it. He could never say it, he's far happier just as they are and yet the idea has settled in and Oikawa can't completely blot it out of his head just yet.]

If you say so.

[He trusts Oikawa to be honest with him where it counts, so after a confused blink in his direction, he just shrugs it off, filing it away for later. Then, however, his hand is pressing a little to the left of the middle of his chest, feeling for the beat against his palm.]

[pinpointing]

[Iwaizumi will find that despite how calm and amused Oikawa is managing to make himself come off as, his heartbeat is thumping away a little too fast for how little he's moving and for a moment, Oikawa is left hoping he doesn't ask. Still rubbing his face, pinching the bridge of his nose, he turns his head to look away at the opposite wall instead while he takes in the feeling of his hand over his heart. If he didn't know Iwaizumi was obviously just looking for the heart for his studying, he'd joke about romantic gestures.]

[catenate]

[Yeah, sorry Oikawa, there's nothing romantic in this at all. Nor is he that lucky. He frowns as he feels his heartbeat, and the only way he gets away with Iwaizumi not counting is because he doesn't have a watch to time a minute with.



It's definitely too fast though.]

You're not getting sick are you?

[His hand moves to press the back against Oikawa's forehead, slapping his hand away so his route isn't blocked.] We can leave it there for now if you are.

[pinpointing]

[Letting out a little noise with his hand being smacked out of the way, Oikawa practically pouts and crosses his arms, shifting his feet - he's not, but he could pretend like he is, but that would interrupt the studying. He doesn't intend for it to go that far.]

No. I'm fine, keep going. If I am getting sick, you'll be medically capable of taking care of me anyway after all this studying.

[catenate]

[He lets out a sigh of exasperation.] I can't do anything with your arms like this, shift them.

[He nudges his arms, still not convinced but he drops it for now. If anything, pushing Oikawa only draws him in on himself more so...] Just a few more left.

[pinpointing]

[Shifting, almost wiggling where he laid, Oikawa eventually uncrosses his arms to rest his hands on his stomach again with a puff of breath and eventually manage to flick his eyes back over. The feeling hasn't exactly dissipated, but normal antics made him calm down.]

I should get something good for holding still for so long. [Like a ki---cupcake. He wants a cupcake. Sweetness. Right. Yup.]

[catenate]

[He glances up when Oikawa speaks, looking for the kidneys next, even though they're technically at the back. He pauses first, eyes narrowing.] I won't smack you for demanding something?

[You offered to do this??? Weirdo. He checks the kidneys then, covering the liver and other organs one by one. When he reaches the stomach he nudges at Oikawa's hands.]

[pinpointing]

[Sticking his tongue out childishly, but wiggling his hands before lifting them, Oikawa flops them over his head since he doesn't need them anymore.]

A cupcake. Let's go get a snack before you burn yourself out.

[catenate]

A cupcake? [He glances up, finishing off then and shutting the book with a snap.] Isn't it nearly dinner anyway?

[pinpointing]

I'd take milk bread if the cafeteria would ever have any, but a cupcake will do.

[Rolling and moving to sit up, he shifts to start pulling his shoes back on like he didn't have any revelations throughout this entire studying session.]

Hey, if you want to do this again, I'm always free. [Oikawa makes a point of not looking up while saying this though, ignoring the feeling of his ears feeling hot because - it's an excuse to let him handle him again. What a dumb feeling, jeez, and yet he's going to encourage it if he can.]

[catenate]

Shouldn't you be eating fruit rather than sweets? [He doesn't kick him in the ass for it, at least. Not when he's offering to be his guinea pig whenever he needs him to be. Instead he glances down at the book, grip tightening.]

Thanks though, I'll probably need to take you up on that offer.

[pinpointing]

I'll look for a strawberry cupcake then. I've been doing a lot better about eating fruits anyway!!

[Puffing lightly, making a show of it when he finishes with his shoes and stands, Oikawa easily moves to slip an arm around his shoulders and just tug - let's go, let's go eat.]

Okay, okay, call me anytime, Iwa-chan.

That's the best you can come up with? [He's just doing it to be an ass at the moment though, when they get there he'll even hand him a cupcake himself. First things first though--]

Let me just leave this in my locker on the way.

[Because that's one thing he doesn't want to get lost.]

[pinpointing]

Are you trying to say I'm getting fat? I'm still totally muscular, do I need to lift my shirt to prove it??

[He's agreeing with leaving the book in his locker on the way with some nodding. It has become something important, so it should go in the safest place for an inanimate object; the lockers.]

[catenate]

No one wants to see that. [He says it completely flatly in return, not even pausing to think about it. At least the walk to the lockers isn't too far from this side of the school.]

[pinpointing]

How could you say that, I have a hot body!!

[Oikawa is laughing anyway, what a quick response to something so dumb, and yet part of him wonders if it's going to be a dumb futile thought in the end after all. He likes girls too, for being a dunce. Clapping his hand on his shoulder before letting go to take a handful of steps so he's walking ahead of him, Oikawa just walks backwards with that grin while being just a step ahead of Iwaizumi.]

[He doesn't really realise anything that Oikawa's thinking here though, not does he really pay attention to how he's walking ahead either, his head is swimming with all the terminology he's tried to learn today, constantly refreshing it all for later.

It's just easy banter.]

[It really is easy banter. It's easy enough to pass his own feelings over like they're a joke, even if there are things he's grossly sure of.]
