I'd take milk bread if the cafeteria would ever have any, but a cupcake will do.

[Rolling and moving to sit up, he shifts to start pulling his shoes back on like he didn't have any revelations throughout this entire studying session.]

Hey, if you want to do this again, I'm always free. [Oikawa makes a point of not looking up while saying this though, ignoring the feeling of his ears feeling hot because - it's an excuse to let him handle him again. What a dumb feeling, jeez, and yet he's going to encourage it if he can.]

Shouldn't you be eating fruit rather than sweets? [He doesn't kick him in the ass for it, at least. Not when he's offering to be his guinea pig whenever he needs him to be. Instead he glances down at the book, grip tightening.]

[Puffing lightly, making a show of it when he finishes with his shoes and stands, Oikawa easily moves to slip an arm around his shoulders and just tug - let's go, let's go eat.]

[He's agreeing with leaving the book in his locker on the way with some nodding. It has become something important, so it should go in the safest place for an inanimate object; the lockers.]

No one wants to see that. [He says it completely flatly in return, not even pausing to think about it. At least the walk to the lockers isn't too far from this side of the school.]

[Oikawa is laughing anyway, what a quick response to something so dumb, and yet part of him wonders if it's going to be a dumb futile thought in the end after all. He likes girls too, for being a dunce. Clapping his hand on his shoulder before letting go to take a handful of steps so he's walking ahead of him, Oikawa just walks backwards with that grin while being just a step ahead of Iwaizumi.]

[He doesn't really realise anything that Oikawa's thinking here though, not does he really pay attention to how he's walking ahead either, his head is swimming with all the terminology he's tried to learn today, constantly refreshing it all for later.

[Oof, that knock isn't all that pleasant. Rubbing his head with a pout, but hardly letting Iwaizumi get away without Oikawa's arm settling on his shoulders again, he puffs his cheeks.] Yes yes, cafeteria, get me my cupcake.

[Letting out a noise with the elbow in the side, then dropping his arm to give a similar blow back, he's grinning cheekily now.]

[SIGHING, he elbows him again just for that.] Also is he really following your crazy training regime?

[His expression goes weird for a moment, like he becomes unfocused, then he's stomping his steps a little.] Yeah, I do. Nothing like that is going to happen anyway.

Tsukishima's got his own regime but he's getting better every time. He won't be able to keep up with me for a long time yet.

[Ah. He caught it despite how Iwaizumi tries to cover it with the stomping. Curving his lips upwards in this sort of jealous little smile, Oikawa ignores the ugly feeling and keeps lightly elbowing him, grinning to mask it.]

I wonder when the day will come that he challenges you to an arm wrestling contest.

[It's complicated, and really in the end he's decided to do nothing about it. It really doesn't matter anymore.

He might still!! He kind of reminds me of Kunimi-chan though, you know? He acts like he's really tired all the time but when it counts, he is the one who conserved his energy.

[The elbowing eventually ends as they start coming up onto the cafeteria doors and Oikawa just slouches there at his shoulder.]

I wouldn't exactly call it that, but. [He knows he's trying harder than Oikawa might realise from the start. The training with him, with Slaine... Kunimi wouldn't have put that much effort in from the start.]

Karasuno are lucky with him in their team.

[He's only known him a few months, but he's proud of his progress.]

Mm, they are. He'll be something of a force to reckon with, as he gets more skilled.

[Chuckling a bit, a joke of "he should have come to our school" on the tip of his tongue - that's too much of an insult to Tsukishima's growth being from attending Karasuno, so he doesn't say it. How gross, he almost said someone elses words for a joke. Remaining against Iwaizumi's shoulder in a half push to get him in the food line, reaching for anything to get that sudden gross taste out of his mouth, Oikawa almost trips when he spies something further down - a loaf.

Milk bread. It's here.] Iwa-chan! They have milk bread finally!! [He might sound the most excited he has ever been in two months.]

[He doesn't want to keep talking about it though either, so while he opens his mouth to ask if that was what happened in the match, he snaps it shut just as quickly when Oikawa gives him the option to ignore it all.]

Don't shout it so loud, idiot, you're embarrassing.

[Ah, how cruel... but really he's grateful for the distraction.]

But milk bread!!

[Pushing Iwaizumi to get further along the line so he can reach and snag that loaf, Oikawa grabs the other loaf right next to it and hordes them both on his tray before reaching for some pudding cups. Milk bread beats any cupcake he may have wanted, but if Iwaizumi grabs one, he'll still eat it. Grinning ear to ear regardless, he rips open a package to pull off chunks and stuff them in his mouth.]

[He sighs as Oikawa pushes him, clearly all too eager to get the bread. He takes one more roll and drops it on his tray as he walks ahead of him, giving him his allowance as well. Though... He does give Oikawa a look of disgust as he starts eating while they're still in the queue.

He reaches his left hand up, smacking him upside the head.]

Calm down or you'll choke idiot.

Iwa-chan, nooo, don't hit me when I have milk bread finally! You don't understaaaaand!

[Swiftly dodging that left hand while wailing that lightly, grinning when he shoves another bite in his mouth, Oikawa lifts his own hand to fight with that left hand if it goes for him again.]
