Heeeh, you wouldn't think so for all his complaints about my terrible personality and headbutts.

[He answers a bit garbled from under the water, but with the water running past his ears rather than over them, he still hears that comment. Chuckling a bit dryly, going quiet again almost as quickly as the humor came, he eventually moves to get out from under the faucet and drip dry like that over the sink.]

[ Kuroo hears the gist of it, as he zips up his pants and draws a bit nearer, just to ruffle the other guy’s hair while he’s down. ]

I can see where it comes from, though it’s kind of easy to lose sight of it, isn’t it? Especially when you’re real close like that.

[Snorting at the ruffling and squinting with water droplets going everywhere, Oikawa shakes his head and reaches up to comb all of his hair back now to fix it from what the ruffle possibly ruined of his hairstyle. Not that this was going to look any better, it was now just a fluffy mess - this is why Oikawa was grateful he had a hairbrush in his things. Combing it out with his hands now to try and get it less fluffy, he gave Kuroo a cheeky sort of smile.]

It feels a little like you're suddenly curious about us, is it just because we hadn't gotten to meet before? [Or are you a nosy busybody like I am.]

[ He looks a lot cuter with his hair all messed up, though… ]

That, and it’s hard not to be curious about the kind of relationship that prompts a guy to beat you up for getting the other half in an accident. [He could imitate that bedhead hairstyle but that might be too attractive, he has to turn some of his charm down or he'd have too many suitors all at once, you know?

Oikawa lets out a little laugh though at the word, buzzkill, and when he manages enough of hairstyle to resemble his usual one, he plants his hands on his hips and gives Kuroo a wide grin.]

Haa? Is that so? Childhood or otherwise, and while I can't exactly prove anything, Iwa-chan isn't so much a buzzkill as just easy to piss off. He's really a fun loving guy, when he's with the right crowd. Right now he's just being everyone's mother, so he ends up worrying about literally everyone he has met.

He has a pretty physical way of worrying, doesn't he? [ Then again, that could also translate to his being totally into him. Who knows? ]

You know, he headbutted me square in the nose once and gave me quite a lecture while I was trying to stop the nosebleed and actually apologized for hitting me in the face too hard. How does someone apologize saying "sorry, did I hit you too hard" with a straight face?

[Laughing a bit at the memory, sliding his eyes to look in the mirror instead and look at his nose like it's been abused again recently - no, it's still as straight and flawless as ever, but there's this feeling that he's covering things up again. Mumbling quietly under his breath, like he can hope to say it and Kuroo will let him get away without explaining it, Oikawa moves to start heading towards the door.]

He makes me feel invincible though.

[ He’s not even surprised. Iwaizumi strikes him as just that kind of idiot. But more than that…

He gives Oikawa that head start, but just before he exits, Kuroo has to add—just loud enough for the other to hear— ]

[He had almost been out the door, he had one foot out - Oikawa turns with that answer, a too bright smile on his face to hide that it was some kind of confession - and then he's out and loitering in the gym, waiting for Kuroo to come with. The gym isn't the safe place to talk about nothing, he won't continue out here. Right?]

[ Tell that to him for a change, he thinks, but similarly doesn't voice it out loud before he follows Oikawa back to the gym. If they chat there Iwaizumi might kick them both out and they'll never get any sleep tonight.
