[When he finally finished and held those little hands in his, he pressed his cheek into her hair for a moment, trying to hide the somber expression on his face. She's scared enough to be picking and biting her hands, this place really.... sucks. Not just for his own pains and aches, not just for his teammates pains and aches.

This place is an ass for scaring a little girl.]

<sub>[The small sound is all she can really give in agreement as he cradles her bandaged fingers in his own. The weight of his head pressed against her own has her scrunching up her features, bottom lip worried between her teeth. He's too good to her. He wouldn't treat her like this if he knew what she was. He'd hate her. He'd want her dead. There's no way he'd hold her hand or hug her or smile at her as if he really was happy to see her. How many people had smiled for her in such a way? She could probably count the number between her set of bandaged fingers.

He smells delicious. It's distracting.]</sub>

[Rubbing the backs of her hands gently, so careful about those bandages, Oikawa shuts his eyes and just relaxes like this for a long minute - he's trying to think. She needs something to do with her hands to keep her busy, to keep her from chewing on them, if she's really this scared.]

When your fingers heal up, do you want Iwa-chan and I to show you some neat volleyball tricks? [As if they aren't already showing her bits and pieces when she visits - but maybe something as simple as having a ball around to toss and play will could help her.] I can give you one of the volleyballs if you want, so you can try it even when you're with Touka-san.

It won't be a bother, these are things you can do all on your own. Just neat things with receiving, bouncing it in place as many times as you can.

[Her hands really are so small in his and it scares him a little that she's trying so hard to stay strong. Reluctantly moving one hand from hers to reach and snag a ball out of the nearby bin without needing to move, Oikawa gently plants it in her lap before taking her hand again and curling his arms around in a squeeze.]
