[It's more painful than usual to see him pretend all was okay, or rather, it's different and 100% understandable. A dangerous territory, in a sense. Maybe they'd all learn to cope like that if they ended up stuck here, he doesn't know.
His hands feel emptier now, but he reminds himself that he just needs to go back to the classroom, then his locker and take another look around. It'll be alright.]
