Not yet. [He'd rather they work on getting sorted before settling down to do anything else. Set up a safe zone, round up people and everything. He might be able to relax a little more then.]
These can call too, so if you need to use that as well. [He gives his shoulder a squeeze, letting go after a little longer than necessary.
He feels uneasy about it, but they don't have time for anything else.]
Yes. [Though, he is just as happy if he could sit and listen to people talk around him. Maybe, he would be able to convince people to join Judo, too. That would be nice to have others involved.]
Oikawa-senpai. [Mayu gives a very small nod, as he always does after certain statements or words.] I suppose that I could. I will not draw anything lewd. [He says as he gets up to start to look for paper and the like to make a poster.]
[ Captain of his school's volleyball team and he's cute. He's a catch, she'll admit, but playing is the most important thing on her mind... for now. Good luck getting that date, Oikawa. She sends him a question along with the ball: ]
[Yachi laughs sheepishly. Exciting... More like heart pounding and constant terror, but it was true she rarely gets bored.]
A-ah, I'm not all that creative. They're mostly normal thoughts! Though I guess I should pay more attention when I'm walking around outside.
[Also inside, or she wouldn't have lost on her own in the first place. It's a good thing Oikawa was the one who picked her up though; like Sawamura, both captains gave off this reliable air-- one of the reasons why they are best suited to lead their teams. ...Though Oikawa was decidedly less scary than the Karasuno captain.]
[ she shows no reaction at being called a cute girl, other than squinting a bit. this better not be the only reason why he's doing this. she watches him closely as he eats, alternating between the slice of pizza and Oikawa's face ]
[Oikawa didn't want him to let go, he wanted to drag his best friend with him to the only place he can even think of as safe at this point, but they don't have time for these feelings to stop them. They had things to do and places to be, after all. Shutting one eye to wink at Iwaizumi and flash him that obnoxious smile again, Oikawa nodded and shifted his grip on his bag.]
Goooot it. I'll see you soon! If I don't, I'm going to call you so many times you can't possibly ignore me, it would be super rude to ignore me now of all times, Iwa-chan!
[Laughing softly and backing up to arrange the weight over his shoulder again, he walked with a playful bump to Iwai's hip when he passed and got moving.]
Honestly, paranoia's a good thing in a place like this. I'm not going to hold it against you for being worried. But starving yourself out of fear isn't the answer, we have to stay strong enough to handle whatever comes our way, you know?
[Oikawa is picking up another apple for himself now, and a water bottle because staying hydrated is important even when not playing sports - keeping ones body in good condition for whatever is about to come. That's all he can concentrate on for now.]
So what do you think, want to go exploring a little? There's notes to be taken and things to look at out there. I tried making a map earlier, but it wasn't going over too well.
You will be fine, don't look at me like you're going to take it in the face, I wouldn't do that to you.
[Laughing softly and lowering his arms down now so he won't actually send it up into his chin, Oikawa backs up a little and demonstrates by bouncing the ball in place for a moment.]
See, it's a bit like this! Bend your knees a little when you move and it's easier, but you keep your shoulders straight.
[It's more painful than usual to see him pretend all was okay, or rather, it's different and 100% understandable. A dangerous territory, in a sense. Maybe they'd all learn to cope like that if they ended up stuck here, he doesn't know.
His hands feel emptier now, but he reminds himself that he just needs to go back to the classroom, then his locker and take another look around. It'll be alright.]
I'll keep it in my hand.
[He lets him go first though too, letting his phone stay say on the table from that dumb birthday text, before he finally picks it up to squeeze it tight. Don't get hurt.]
[ At least, should the food somehow be safe, they have a chance at fixing whatever went wrong. Starving? Well... not a good idea. And who knows what's looming around the corners? ]
I wouldn't mind a little exploring, but I did notice that... the layout is really weird. The lengths of the halls... seem to change and... I don't know. It's like I'm hallucinating, but I know I'm not.
[To you...meaning he's done rude things in that in the past to unsuspecting individuals. Haha JK, Yosuke being an undercover sentimenalist is going to take it as a compliment -- to heart even and sighs in misleading frustration.]
You make it look easy, it's hard enough trying to do that with a paddleball.
[He'll do that, though. Bend his knees just enough, like a half-squat....and just kinda wait.]
I didn't think you would, aha.. but if you need help hanging the posters later, some of the best places are near the bathrooms and the obvious bulletin board. Those are going to end up being the most frequented areas.
What do you like about Judo so much? [Actually snagging some paper out of one of the stacks at the front of the room to bring them over, to bring some markers over, Oikawa sets them on Nozaki's desk and ends up giving him a curious look - he might end up making more volleyball posters just to stick around and make sure he doesn't pass out with a marker in his face.
Not that Oikawa was going to marker him up earlier anyway, nah.]
Hmm, so kendo for you... there's all these other clubs that people keep wanting to join.
[He's letting out this puff of a sigh, but there really isn't anything wrong with kendo; again, it's better than basketball. He doesn't dislike the sport, he'd be pretty good at it if he wanted to be, but too many people join it for not having other options.]
What makes you want to start a kendo club then? Is it just what you did back home? [Kendo. Was he a kendo instructor maybe? Kendo would be easier than volleyball with that height, he supposes; sorry Saitou, this loser stands at 184cm. Looking down on a sensei isn't that new though.]
There is truly nothing I can teach you new about tossing.
[The only thing left would be how to communicate more efficiently, and like fuck is he going to explain that to the birdbrain. It's not a thing to teach, that is something Kageyama will have to learn on his own, honestly - and Refreshing-kun seemed to be doing such a fine job at it, from how the result of that second match turned out. So he leaves it at that.
Extending his stride to walk right past Kageyama then, Oikawa passes him quickly to continue down the hall. Maybe he's wrong, maybe this really is the right way to the gym again.]
But it's good you've seen that you have room to improve, Tobio-chan~
They're super creative! Not everyone thinks like that, and besides, you pay well enough attention where it counts, mm?
[This time he's leading her down a different hallway, eyes flicking ahead and counting classroom doors - this time it's right, four classrooms, that means the cafeteria should be there. Good.]
No, but it's okay to hope she is just for your sake. Really, familiar faces mean a lot to someone, I can guarantee that it would be... calming. And if she is here, she'd definitely want to know that you're okay.
[Shhh, he will be doing his best not to get beat up by girls, okay?! Half stepping a little in front of her when some students pass them in the hall, Oikawa might be getting thumped into a bit, but it's nothing for the taller boy - and it reinforces that he's sure Hina-chan would have outright been stepped into had she been alone.
[It might be a great reason why he's doing this; look, a cute girl has to monitor him, that means she has to hang out with him. Whether he keels over or not, he gets to spend some time with her.]
So far, it tastes pretty normal. [Oikawa is making sure not to eat like a slob at least, finishing that slice quickly enough and wiping his fingers with a napkin, then his mouth.]
I tried mapping it earlier from the gym to here, and there are at least three different hallways that seem to shift into place. The gym won't show up until there's at least four classrooms between them in one of the hallways, and the others have only three classrooms per streak.. they lead to various other places.
[Fishing out a paper from his jacket to read and be sure he's explaining exactly what he wrote, Oikawa gives Ken a mild grin.]
So, we could experiment with that to see where those other hallways go. It's definitely strange and totally changing on us, so you're not hallucinating.

Err-- [Oh, okay, right. This doesn't seem safe at all. A ball could easily ricochet off his forearms and slam into his face like this.
Yosuke: the clumsiest guy in all of Inaba.] So I'm just supposed to stand like this?
[Why does it feel like he's been shafted? V-ball players are supposed to be bouncy and blockey and stuff.]
