Only that I don't intend to lose my position in the team to him, even if he's good at what he does.

Nekoma is moderately strong. They're capable of holding their own against the rank 3 ace of Tokyo, and even against Shiratorizawa.

are you catching him up to speed on how this place is? [That he's the captain of the Nekoma team actually makes Oikawa a bit relieved. More captains mean more people who are definitely capable of being reliable, and they need that right now.]

actually - has hitoka-chan been doing better? sorry for asking, it just seems easier to ask you than me asking her directly since you are far more familiar with her than i and i dont want to come off as a creepy senpai when im just worried.

Yachi is perpetually on the brink of collapsing and nothing short of going home will make her feel better. On the other hand, she is no longer crying as much as she did before.

If anything else, Kuroo's also keeping an eye on them. [ then again, he keeps an eye on everyone. ]

theres no one i've known before moseying around, though i've met a handful who im trying to convince to join the team. at least it looks like we're filling out enough to have people to rotate in if someone gets hurt. or something.

He is. He's afraid. Volleyball helps keep things normal for him. There's only so much we can do to assure him that things will be fine, and we all know it won't be.

I'd like to hope we won't have to deal with any more injuries after what just happened to the both of you.

But lots of people showing interest in something as ordinary as volleyball is also good.
